Deadbeat performance under measurement dynamics
نویسندگان
چکیده
The possibility of achieving a deadbeat regulation and tracking in linear systems independently of their initial conditions is investigated. The attention is focused on single-input single-output control systems incorporating a dynamical sensor in the loop. A necessary and sufficient condition for a deadbeat controller to exist is established. All deadbeat controllers are described in paramet ric form and the one which yields the shortest transient is identified.

In this paper, an state-space approach to deadbeat servomechanism design is proposed using multirate input control. This paper focuses advantage of multirate control over conventional single-rate control. To achieve settling time specified, multirate controllers require less frequent sampling of measurement than single-rate ones. Multirate input mechanism can yield shorter settling time than si...
متن کاملDesign of QFT-Based Self-Tuning Deadbeat Controller
This paper presents a design method of self-tuning Quantitative Feedback Theory (QFT) by using improved deadbeat control algorithm. QFT is a technique to achieve robust control with pre-defined specifications whereas deadbeat is an algorithm that could bring the output to steady state with minimum step size. Nevertheless, usually there are large peaks in the deadbeat response. By integrating QF...
متن کاملRecursive Deadbeat Controller Design
This paper presents a recursive algorithm for the deadbeat predictive control that brings the output response to rest after a few time steps. The main idea is to put together the system identification process and the deadbeat control design into a unified step. It starts with reformulating the conventional multi-step output-prediction equation to explicitly include the coefficient matrices to w...
متن کاملH2 optimal ripple-free deadbeat controller design
This paper deals with the design ripple-free deadbeat controllers for sampled-data systems. Given a prescribed settling time, the design problem is tackled by computing a ripple-free deadbeat controller that optimizes an H2 performance criterion. This criterion accounts for the quality of the tracking response and for the control energy necessary to achieve the deadbeat behavior. Our main resul...
متن کاملOutput deadbeat control of nonlinear discrete-time systems with one-dimensional zero dynamics: global stability conditions
Output deadbeat control in one step is considered for a class of discrete-time systems described by a nonlinear single-input/singleoutput recursive representation. Global stability conditions are established for the particular subclass of systems with one-dimensional zero dynamics. The results are illustrated with applications to polynomial and neural dynamical systems.
